Headmen in East Jakarta Demanded to Cooperate With MUI

Mayor of East Jakarta, Bambang Musyawardana instructed the urban village and sub-district heads to establish cooperation with the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI), to resolve any problem in East Jakarta.

Musyawardana disclosed that the MUI may influence attitude and behavior thus it always guided by the values of faith and piety. And it also makes the environment conducive.

"If the situation of the environment and society is conducive, the development programs can run well," he said, during a speech at the Regional Council (Musda) IV MUI East Jakarta, in the Pattern Room of East Jakarta Mayor's Office, Tuesday (11/3).

The Musda is held to choose and set the new Council Leader of East Jakarta MUI period 2015-2016.

According to him, it is a forum for evaluating the programs that have been planned and implemented in a period of management, as well as effort to revitalize the organization through the selection of the new leader.

"Through this Musda, I hope the new leader could work and make good programs, bringing strategic steps to improve the presence and important of MUI role against the interests and needs of the people, especially in East Jakarta," he hoped.
